Vintage Sure Thing Chapel Elopement in Las Vegas
Sergio and Sheila made the trip out from California for their Sure Thing Chapel elopement—and let me tell you, it was a journey. Their car actually broke down the day before (!!), but they still showed up ready to say their vows and fully leaned into the magic of the day. These two were seriously the sweetest, and totally embraced all the vintage vibes Vegas has to offer.
One of my favorite details was Sheila’s jacket—with a custom patch on the back featuring their names. It felt so personal, so stylish, and honestly? The perfect touch for an elopement shot on 35mm film and Super 8. Just wait until you see these frames.
A Vintage Start: 11th St Records
Las Vegas Elopement Photos on 35mm film
We started by photographing at 11th St Records, a local fave record shop. Fun fact: my husband and I have been shopping there forever—since we were teens going to local punk shows in the back recording studio of the store, to doing our first photos as a family with our then-6-month-old son. This place has beautiful gems not only in vinyls, but in the photo-worthy corners scattered all around the shop.
And Sergio and Sheila? They fit right in with the vibe. Sheila wore a soft pink jacket over her dress that had the cutest custom patch on the back with their names—such a fun, personal touch that felt straight out of a retro romance film. Sergio looked sharp in a classic black suit, and together, they had this calm, cool energy that made everything feel so effortless. Sheila’s bouquet by Over the Moon Florist brought the whole look together—soft pinks and creams with pearl details that added just the right amount of sweetness.
If you're planning a Las Vegas elopement and want a location that feels unique and a little unexpected, 11th St Records is it. It’s got color, character, and the kind of nostalgic charm that just works—especially on film.
Sergio & Sheila’s Vintage Sure Thing Chapel Elopement on 35mm Film
After their stop at 11th St Records, we made our way to Sure Thing Chapel, one of my favorite spots for couples who want those vintage, kitschy Vegas vibes with a little extra heart. The neon, the velvet curtains, the vintage analog photo booth—it’s the perfect mix of retro charm and intentional design. If you’re dreaming of a Vegas elopement that doesn’t take itself too seriously (but still photographs like a dream), this place is it.
Sergio and Sheila had a sweet and simple ceremony under the iconic pink heart, and even though they were shy, they radiated joy. And then came one of the most special parts of the day—their first dance under the disco ball with their baby boy in their arms. It was honestly one of the most touching moments to capture on 35mm and Super 8 film!
After the ceremony, they shared a vintage-style heart cake and popped champagne outside the chapel—which, as a reminder, is an add-on I offer with Winston Marie Cakes so that couples like S+S (and maybe yourselves) don’t have to worry about one more thing. It was the perfect little finale: sweet, nostalgic, and full of energy. At the end of it all, said they had so so much fun!

Looking for a Photographer for Your Las Vegas or Sure Thing Chapel Elopement?
There’s something about shooting on 35mm film and Super 8 that just hits differently. The texture, the motion, the imperfections. It all feels so honest and nostalgic, like flipping through old family albums or watching your favorite home video. That’s why I love offering it to my couples. It adds depth and emotion in a way digital sometimes can’t touch. If you’re drawn to those vintage tones, soft grain, and that dreamy feeling you can’t quite explain, we might just be the perfect fit.
As your photographer, I’m here to help you feel seen, supported, and celebrated—whether you’re eloping on Fremont, saying vows in a neon-lit chapel, or dancing under a disco ball with your baby in tow. I’ll bring the calm energy, the attention to detail, and the storytelling eye your day deserves.
