Vintage 70s Las Vegas Couples Photography

Retro, editorial, and moody—this vintage 70s Las Vegas couples photography session with Emilie and Brandon was all of that and more. While this was technically a vow renewal (since they’d officially tied the knot just a few days earlier at the iconic Madonna Inn), they wanted to keep the badassery rolling in Vegas with an intimate ceremony just for themselves at Sure Thing Chapel. Emilie channeled full Priscilla Presley energy with her look, and the two carried a cool, laid-back 70s vibe.

They booked four hours so we could move through multiple locations without feeling rushed, which gave us so much diversity in their gallery. From getting ready and taking portraits at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, to their ceremony at Sure Thing, wandering downtown Las Vegas, and closing the night with night caps at Silver Stamp bar, this session had all the character, grit, and romance you could want!

Getting Ready & Portraits at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino

There’s something so personal about couples getting ready together, whether it’s for your wedding, vow renewal, or just an epic couples session in Vegas. Emilie and Brandon skipped tradition and shared the same space, helping each other with final touches.

Emilie did her own hair and makeup (slay), while Brandon wore an original 1970s suit which he found on eBay. It had never been worn before and couldn’t have been more perfect for their retro Vegas vision! The plaid pattern, bolo tie, and wide lapels paired effortlessly with Emilie’s ivory gown and dramatic bell sleeves, giving them both a look that felt straight out of the 70s.

We started their Las Vegas couples photography session inside their Flamingo Hotel room with editorial details, from close-up ring shots to portraits against the bold textures of the space. They let loose, bouncing on the bed and sharing kisses. The Flamingo and its vintage character was the perfect backdrop for their aesthetic.

Vintage 70’s Inspired Las Vegas Couples Photography at Sure Thing Chapel & Downtown

Sure Thing Chapel isn’t just for couples eloping in Vegas. It’s also the perfect spot for vow renewals or even a session to celebrate your love. They booked a slot at Sure Thing Chapel to make it official all over again in true Vegas style. That’s one of the things (among many) that I love about this spot. You don’t need to be planning a full wedding to enjoy the atmosphere, funky interiors, and retro photo ops. Whether it’s a vow renewal, anniversary, or just epic couples photos, the chapel is open to all kinds of love stories.

After their time inside the chapel, we stepped outside to soak in the glow of downtown. Sunset in this part of the city is unmatched. The way the light hits the neon signs, palm trees, and street corners makes everything feel cinematic. We chased the last bit of golden light, then leaned into blue hour for a mix of moody, retro-inspired portraits. Sessions like this are the best example of how Las Vegas couples photography can take you from a funky chapel to the streets downtown in one evening!

Wrapping Up with Nightcaps at The Silver Stamp

To wrap up their Las Vegas couples photography session, we ducked into The Silver Stamp, a tucked-away dive bar that felt straight out of the ’70s. The setting itself was the star — shelves stacked with vintage beer cans, neon signs glowing, and a cozy, lived-in atmosphere. It was the perfect backdrop for the playful yet moody vibe they were going for. Between sipping a cool ale (from a selection the Silver Stamp prides itself on) and or a alcoholic drink (for my straight edge folks- just like are rad groom here), sneaking kisses, and leaning into the retro decor, every photo looked like it belonged on the pages of an old magazine. This stop was proof that sometimes the best locations aren’t the polished venues but the quirky gems that bring a couple’s style and vision to life.

Your Turn for a Vintage Las Vegas Couples Photography Session

At the end of the day what I love most about Las Vegas is that no matter your style, this city has the perfect backdrop waiting for you. From vintage chapels to neon-lit streets and hidden dive bars, there’s a little bit of everything to match your vibe. Booking a longer session, like the 4-hour shoot we did here, gave us the freedom to hop between spots and create a gallery that felt diverse and full of personality (you can even do an outfit change to switch things up, too!).

As a Las Vegas couples photographer, my style blends the fun, candid energy of the city with a creative eye for those editorial-inspired shots that feel like you. You can learn more about me here and inquire if you think we’d be a good fit. And if you’re still gathering inspo, check out the blog for more couples sessions, elopements, weddings, and resources to help you plan your own day!
